Yealm Community Electric Transport (YCET) is delighted to announce that the Yealm Water Taxi / Yealm Ferry Service will officially resume operations on Saturday 28th March 2026 following the winter break.
Serving the beautiful River Yealm in Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo, the Yealm Water Taxi provides a reliable, environmentally friendly and scenic transport link for residents and visitors alike.

Meet Our Electric Ferry: The Paul Darlow TPD
Passengers travelling with the Yealm Water Taxi will be welcomed aboard The Paul Darlow TPD, our fully electric passenger vessel.
Named in honour of Paul Darlow, this modern electric ferry reflects our commitment to sustainable transport on the River Yealm. The Paul Darlow TPD delivers:

2026 Yealm Ferry Operating Dates & Hours
Service resumes: Saturday 28th March 2026
Operating days: 7 days a week
Season: Late March to late September 2026
Core hours: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Extended summer hours: June, July and August
During the peak summer months, we will extend our daily operating hours to meet increased demand from walkers, holidaymakers, sailors and local residents enjoying the River Yealm and surrounding South Devon coastline.
